USA Vactrise Flexible Fiber Strip
Description
USA Vactrise Flexible Fiber Strip is an ultra-thin, highly flexible glass-fiber reinforcement strip designed for conservative dental splinting, structural reinforcement, and minimally invasive prosthetics. Made from high-tensile, densely braided fibers, it provides strong dimensional stability while adapting easily to complex tooth anatomy.
Key Indications
Periodontal Splinting: Immobilizing hypermobile teeth caused by advanced periodontal disease.
Trauma Management: Stabilizing loose or luxated teeth after physical trauma.
Prosthetic Reinforcement: Structurally reinforcing temporary bridges, acrylic dentures, and long-span provisional restorations.
Space Maintainers & Retainers: Fabricating aesthetic, metal-free orthodontic retainers and space maintainers.
Single-Tooth Bridges: Supporting resin-bonded, composite-based bridge pontics.
Features & Performance
High Tensile Strength: Distributes occlusal forces evenly across anchored teeth to prevent structural failure and fracture.
Ultra-Thin & Flexible: Fits flush into interdental spaces and lingual/palatal contours, ensuring patient comfort and minimal speech interference.
Universal Resin Compatibility: Pre-impregnated or easily wettable with standard light-cured composite bonding agents and flowable composites.
Metal-Free Aesthetics: Translucent finish blends naturally with underlying tooth structure and composite resin without dark metal shadows.
Minimally Invasive: Requires little to no enamel reduction or tooth preparation prior to placement.
Clinical Procedure Protocol
Clean, etch, and apply a bonding agent to the enamel/dentin surfaces; light-cure.
Measure and cut the flexible fiber strip to the required length using specialized shears.
Apply a thin layer of flowable composite along the target teeth and embed the fiber strip into the composite using a plastic instrument.
Light-cure section by section to secure the strip in place.
Cover the strip completely with a final layer of flowable or hybrid composite, shape, polish, and verify occlusal clearance.
