SEALAPEX
Description
Kerr Sealapex Root Canal Sealer is a original, eugenol-free polymeric calcium hydroxide root canal sealer manufactured by KERR. Designed for endodontic obturation, it stimulates rapid periapical tissue healing and hard tissue (apatite) formation at the apex.
Key Features & Specifications
Chemical Base: Polymeric Calcium Hydroxide (Eugenol-Free formulation prevents staining and tissue irritation).
Delivery System: Two-paste base and catalyst system (typically 12g Base + 12g Catalyst tube set) or auto-mix Sealapex Xpress dual-barrel syringes.
Working Properties: Smooth, creamy consistency that easily coats gutta-percha points or root canal walls; extended working time on the mixing pad with an adequate intra-canal setting time.
Biocompatibility: High pH level promotes localized antibacterial activity and biological closure of the apex without shrinking upon set.
Radiopacity: High radiopaque value for clear, sharp post-operative X-ray visualization.
Primary Applications
Root Canal Obturation: Permanent sealing of the root canal space in conjunction with core materials like gutta-percha points or silver points.
Periapical Healing: Preferred in cases requiring apical tissue regeneration and hard tissue barrier formation.
