Key Features & Composition

Material: Made from highly purified, pharmaceutical-grade gelatin foam (porcine origin), ensuring it is bio-compatible and safe for bodily tissues.

Hemostatic Action: Works by providing a physical matrix that traps platelets and accelerates the natural clotting cascade. It can absorb many times its own weight in blood and fluids.

Absorbability: Completely absorbed by the body within approximately 4 to 6 weeks when left in place, minimizing the need for removal and causing minimal tissue reaction.

Sterility: Supplied pre-sterilized via gamma irradiation (meaning it should not be re-sterilized) and packaged in sterile blister packs.

Clinical Indications

Dental & Oral Surgery: Commonly used in sockets following tooth extractions, apicoectomies, or oral biopsies to control local bleeding.

General Surgery: Utilized to manage oozing from surfaces in general, orthopedic, gynecological, and plastic surgeries where traditional suturing or pressure is difficult or ineffective.

ENT Procedures: Applied in nasal and ear surgeries to manage mucosal bleeding.

General Application Guidelines

Can be applied dry or saturated with sterile physiological saline solution or thrombin.

Firm, gentle pressure is applied to the bleeding site until it becomes fixed and achieves hemostasis.
